Cybersmarties gives Primary School Kids the power to connect and share in a controlled and safe environment. Cybersmarties’s first priority is safety for its members, it’s why we are here and whilst we take every precaution to prevent bullying of any kind, it is always possible that we miss something and take no responsibility for misuse by members or against members or schools. Only a Teacher/Principal may sign up students on behalf of their relevant school. The Teacher/Principal accepts responsibility for authenticating each student in their school as a real child within their relevant school. A Teacher/Principal is not allowed to authenticate students who are not from their school or over the age of 12 years old. What we do guarantee is that safety is our first concern and will take immediate action to prevent any misuse. We do not under any circumstances share personal information on members or schools with any third party. We do not gather personal information such as names, date of births, email addresses or Parent/Guardian contact details. All our services are for the safety, protection and wellbeing of the child. Please review these standards. They will help you understand what type of expression is acceptable, consent required, and what type of content may be reported and removed.

1. The services we provide

Cybersmarties provide a personalised social network experience for the Teachers and Students of a school community. Unlike other social networks, we authenticate the users via schools and create profiles for them. For creating student profiles, we need only school details, class details, and the number of students of the class. Once the profiles are created, the credentials are distributed by the school authorities. So, we don’t know who you are and all we know is the activity of the username we provided. We do not gather personal information such as names, date of births, email addresses or Parent/Guardian contact details. We only collect contact details of school, and for emergency purposes the contact details of the teachers.

The students can make friends online within the pool of verified users and hence we ensure there are no fake profiles. We restrict one to one chat between Teachers and Students. Teachers who are in Cybersmarties can talk only to other teachers of the school and can’t be involved in one to one chat with any student. Also, the students can talk only to other students within the boundaries set by the school (Division, Class, whole school).

Cybersmarties at this time has verified Avatars for each region for users to set as profile pictures. The users won’t be allowed to use their own pictures whatsoever.

Other than the social media training platform, cybersmarties provides access to a learning Academy with different educational courses, accessible via website and mobile app provided by different third party vendors. Users need to purchase separately from their website if they want to, which is outside of Cybersmarties.

2. How our services are funded

Cybersmarties works directly with schools and it is the school who should pay for the number of logins they purchase. Cybersmarties will raise an invoice to that school and payment will be performed directly via bank transfer. There isn’t any payment method or system integrated to the platform.

3. Who can use Cybersmarties

We try to make Cybersmarties available to only Teachers and Students, you cannot use Cybersmarties if:

• You are above 13 years old.
• You are not a student of a registered school
• You are prohibited from receiving our products, services, or software under applicable laws.

4. Contents

Cybersmarties at this time does not allow student members to upload pictures or videos as part of their private messages. This is done in the interests of safety and anti-cyberbullying policy. The users are allowed to choose from the list of available Our belief is that members become friends and share experiences based on common personal interests. When members upload avatars as part of their personal profile, we expect that they will share in a responsible manner. That includes choosing carefully the audience for the content. Any content, messages or misuse of content we believe are of a sexual or offence nature will be removed.

5. Protecting Other People’s Rights

• We respect other people’s rights, and expect you to do the same.
• You will not post content or take any action on the Cybersmarties platform that infringes or violates someone else’s rights or otherwise violates the law.
• We can remove any content or information you post on Cybersmarties if we believe that it violates this Statement or our policies.
• We provide you with tools to help you protect yourself like flagging inappropriate messages or members. We expect you to use this safety system in an appropriate manner.
• If you repeatedly infringe other people’s intellectual property rights, we will disable your account when appropriate.
• You will not use our copyrights or trademarks (including CyberSmarties.com, the CyberSmarties.com and Logos), or any confusingly similar marks, except as expressly permitted by us and with our written permission.
• You are not permitted to collect information from users for any purpose.
• You will not post anyone’s identification documents or sensitive information on Cybersmarties platform.
• You will not tag users or send email invitations to non-users without their consent. CyberSmarties.com offers social reporting tools to enable users to provide feedback about tagging.

6. Violence and Threats

Safety is Cybersmarties’s top priority. We remove content and may escalate to law enforcement when we perceive a genuine risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety. You may not credibly threaten others, or organize acts of real-world violence. Organizations with a record of terrorist or violent criminal activity are not allowed to maintain a presence on our site. We also prohibit promoting, planning or celebrating any of your actions if they have, or could, result in financial harm to others, including theft and vandalism.

Self-harm

Cybersmarties take threats of self-harm very seriously. We remove any promotion or encouragement of self-mutilation, eating disorders or hard drug abuse. We also work with suicide prevention agencies to provide assistance for people in distress.

Bullying and Harassment

Cybersmarties does not tolerate bullying or harassment and enforce a zero-tolerance policy. We allow users to speak freely privately but take action on all reports of abusive behaviour directed at private individuals. Repeatedly targeting other users with unwanted friend requests or messages is a form of harassment.

Hate speech

Cybersmarties does not permit hate speech, but distinguishes between serious and humorous speech. While we encourage you to challenge ideas, institutions, events, and practices, we do not permit individuals or groups to attack others based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition.

Identity and Privacy

Cybersmarties members may not connect using their real names and identities. We ask that you refrain from publishing the personal information of others without their consent. Claiming to be another person, creating a false presence for an organization, or creating multiple accounts undermines community and violates Cybersmarties’s terms.

Intellectual property

Before sharing content on Cybersmarties platform, please be sure you have the right to do so.We ask that you respect copyrights, trademarks, and other legal rights.

Regulated Goods

It is not permitted to complete transactions involving regulated goods on our platform. If you post an offer involving firearms, alcohol, tobacco, or adult products, we will remove this content in the interests of safety. You are not allowed to use your profile to connect with other members to use them as consumers or to sell products.

Phishing and Spam

We take the safety of our members seriously and work to prevent attempts to compromise their privacy or security. We also ask that you respect our members by not contacting them for commercial purposes without their consent.

Reporting abuse

If you see something on Cybersmarties that you believe violates our terms, you should report it to us on admin@cybersmarties.com. Please keep in mind that reporting a piece of content does not guarantee that it will be removed from the site or application. Because of the diversity of our community, it’s possible that something could be disagreeable or disturbing to you without meeting the criteria for being removed or blocked.

Schools – Parental Consent/Guardian

Cybersmarties relationship is directly with schools only as a means of verifying children as real children and as such the school is representative of the users within that school. Each school is requested to gain parental/guardian consent on behalf of each and all of its students to become members of Cybersmarties. All data processed by Cybersmarties is for the safety, protection and wellbeing of the child. If this data is requested by a government body, such data will be given in accordance and compliance with data protection legislation. In the event that such reports are conducted, a parent/guardian may request their child to be removed from such a report by contacting us directly.

Apps, websites and third-party integrations on or using our Services

When you use third-party apps, websites or other services that use, or are integrated with, our platform, they may receive information about you. For example, when you play a game from a third party provider on our platform, the game developer or website may get information about your activities in the game. In addition, when you download or use such third-party services, they can access information such as your country/language and gender, devices you use as well as any information that you share with them but not information such as your ID username and age. Information collected by these apps, websites or integrated services is subject to their own terms and policies and Cybersmarties are not responsible for how these third parties use this information.
